Palmer Johnson has a great opportunity for a Service Coordinator in our Santa Fe Springs, CA location. The Service Coordinator is responsible for providing service-related solutions to our customers by working with our service team to provide quotes, schedule service, order parts, and perform other administrative duties.

About the Role

The Service Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with service and remanufacturing customers. Our Service Coordinators play an integral role in this commitment to our customers, ensuring that parts arrive on time and that our Service Manager and Technicians are supported. This role reports to the local Service Manager but is also part of a company-wide SVC team that helps administer our Service Department’s overall needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a primary contact for customer service inquiries and provide timely updates
  • Schedule and coordinate in-shop and field service work
  • Manage service orders, quotes, and ticketing system tasks (OTRS)
  • Source, price, and order parts; resolve discrepancies with vendors
  • Monitor service progress, labor accuracy, and documentation
  • Support technicians and Service Managers to ensure efficient operations

What You Bring

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency
  • 2+ years of work experience in customer service, preferably in an industrial or technical environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and understand assembly manuals, drawings, and schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • Positive attitude and desire to work in a collaborative environment
